The Golden Rule. Perhaps you are more familiar with it as the ethic of reciprocity?
It essentially means to treat others as you would want to be treated.
Some sticklers even came up with the Platinum Rule, meaning treat others as they want to be treated. This, of course, accounts for the fact that not everyone wants to be treated the same way due to values and philosophies.
Regardless, it all boils down to having compassion for your fellow man.
People oftentimes feel they have very different views from others’ beliefs. I thought an article to show that people across the world and across religions share more than they know. Here is the Golden Rule as presented by the most practiced religions of the world.
